IN RECENT YEARS THE SCVSAR K9 TEAM HAS RECEIVED GENEROUS, AND MUCH APPRECIATED, FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR EQUIPMENT AND TRAINING FROM THE FOLLOWING ORGANIZATIONS:

CNA INSURANCE

WHIDBEY ISLAND KENNEL CLUB

US BANK

ALDERWOOD TERRACE ROTARY

S. EVERETT / MUKILTEO ROTARY

ALASKAAIRLINES/HORIZONAIR

The Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue (SCVSAR) K9 Team is a part of SCVSAR, a not-for-profit (501c3) volunteer organization committed to assisting the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office in locating lost persons and rescuing injured persons from the backcountry.

Although K9 team handlers are volunteers deployed by the Snohomish County Sheriffs, they are generally not reimbursed for their expenses from taxpayer or government funds. K9 Team handlers make a substantial investment of time and personal financial resources in training and equipment to become and stay operational. Public donations are much appreciated and needed. In addition to financial support, the K9 teams rely heavily on SCVSAR members for Field Support on missions, and as subjects and support at trainings.

Contact the K9 Coordinator at searchdogs@scvsar.org to find out details on how you can help.
